Everyone has challenges in life. We're all on a journey and sometimes we need help to weather the storm. Some of the issues I've experienced include: loss, anxiety, panic attack, fear of flying, post natal depression, bereavement, parenting stress, estrangement, low self-esteem, weight problems, chronic illness, menopause. I'm not unusual in facing these problems and, of course, I still face daily stresses, large and small. But I'm happy to say that my techniques have helped me to overcome these and enjoy life to the full. And I am passionate about helping as many people as I can to do the same. If you're anything like me, you've worried about weight for most of your life. When I was young, I kept it off by diet and exercise. Then, after having kids, the pounds really piled on. I was the biggest I'd ever been, my self-esteem was at rock-bottom and I became anxious and easily stressed. I tried diets and slimming clubs, losing weight only to put it all back on again - making me feel even more of a failure.

Eventually, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME, so I trained as a Hypnotherapist, NLP Practitioner and Life Coach to help myself recover. I learnt powerful techniques to permanently change my unconscious habits, my mindset and put me in control of emotions and manage stress.

Once recovered, I applied my knowledge to my weight problem, dropping 3 dress sizes. Then, I hand-picked the best techniques to make the unique formula for my Become Your Best program.

You may lose weight on a diet by using your conscious will-power, but once finished, you return to your old habits and behaviours, which are running unchecked in your subconscious mind. My program tackles these from the start.

I research smart food choices and brief exercise tactics, including walking, to fit in with busy lifestyles.

Stress management is an essential component of any weight-loss program, as it causes tiredness and hunger, causing us to reach for high energy snacks.

All of these ingredients became my signature Become Your Best program.

I am fervent about sharing my knowledge with as many clients as possible, to free them from the emotional cycle of dieting and help them to take control of their lives. I'm Angela Wilshin, an NLP Life Coach & Hypnotherapist specialising in Anxiety/stress, Weight Loss and Hypnoband With more than 14 years’ experience in the fields of Positive Psychology (including Hypnotherapy, Coaching, Counselling, CBT and NLP). I run coaching/therapy 1:1 sessions with a limited number of private clients, to help them to live the lives they want, rather than hoping issues will sort themselves out, thinking in circles or being stuck in negative habits.

My first career was as a Senior Systems Programmer in a global financial services company. After having children, I successfully retrained as a teacher, but became ill with Chronic Fatigue /ME. In order to restore my energy and fully recover, I realized I needed to radically change my response to stress and reduce my anxiety levels. So, I trained in Positive Psychology techniques to master stress management, change my mindset and coach myself to recovery. After experiencing their transformative effects in my own life and approach to work, I became passionate about helping others. It was this that led me to develop bespoke 1:1 sessions to help clients to lose weight and/or to overcome anxiety, stress, panic attacks and phobias.

Hypnotherapy or Coaching sessions are usually conducted through zoom (online) or phone, so wherever you live, I can help you. Face to face sessions are also available. I recommend at least 4 sessions, but it is always your decision.

Are 1:1 sessions confidential?

Yes, face to face sessions between us are confidential. The only time confidentiality is broken is if you were to indicate you might harm yourself or someone else. This information is made clear before the session starts.
